Student Advisory Council
Nelson School Student Advisory Council
Student voice and choice matters at Nelson School, which is why we have a Student Advisory Council. Two students, chosen by their peers, in each grade from Grades 1 through 5 represent their class on this council. Students meet about once per month with the Principal to plan student activities. The Student Advisory Council reps will sometimes report back to their classrooms and get input from classmates on things such as ideas for new recess equipment or how to celebrate filling the SPIRIT gem jar. These students have a great amount of pride in their role representing their class!
